Self-care and psychological well-being play an important role in physician wellness. Often physicians are not aware of how to take care of themselves, especially when experiencing significant stress. This workshop will provide practical tools that can be learned easily to combat stress on a daily basis. The purpose of this workshop is to have participants experience specific techniques including deep meditation, that help reduce stress, generate restorative sleep and improve social connection in healthcare settings. These evidence-based tools allow healthcare professionals to be more effective providers who enjoy their work and suffer less stress-related illness. As a result of the improvement of provider wellness, the entire healthcare organization will benefit from improved retention and productivity of physicians.
