Dr. Lisa Barker is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician who holds a master’s in health professions education and served as residency faculty for 10 years before becoming medical director for Jump Simulation, a large-scale simulation and innovation center. She serves as a master facilitator for the OSFHealthCare compassion-based course on provider-patient communication and has also facilitated clinical simulation and communication workshops for regional, national and international audiences. She leverages the teachable moments inherent in acute care clinical encounters to engage patients around lifestyle medicine approaches to their chronic conditions and improving health span. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine.
