Melyssa Allen is a double board-certified lifestyle medicine coach with over 15 years of experience with behavior modification as an animal trainer, group fitness instructor, and mental health professional. She received her Bachelors in both Biology and Psychology, along with her Masters in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida. Author and podcast host of Healthy Living Doesn’t Have to SUCK, Melyssa coaches individuals, companies, and communities on ways to drop the struggle and create a healthy lifestyle that lasts. Melyssa also contributed a chapter titled Prioritizing Well-Being for Healthcare Professionals in the textbook Mental Health and Wellness in Healthcare Workers: Identifying Risks, Prevention, and Treatment, showcasing her dedication to addressing unique challenges in the healthcare sector after working at local hospitals providing support to their healthcare workers throughout the pandemic. She also operates a branch of her business called Veterinary Well-Being Buddy that specializes with coaching veterinary professionals and named as a legacy to her heart dog who passed away in September 2023, Buddy. Melyssa is also passionate about continuing to share the power of the human-animal bond through her work as a pet therapy team with her cat - Jackie, Program Director for Beyond the Leash Dog Training, and Secretary on the Board of Directors for the Beyond the Leash Foundation.
