Dr.Melissa Robey is a Family Physician, Fellow of the Academy of Family Physicians, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, and recently attained board certification in Breastfeeding and Lactation Medicine with the inaugural exam. She practices full scope Family Medicine including surgical obstetrics on the faculty for Hawai’i Island Family Medicine Residency Program in Hilo and is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at John A Burns School of Medicine. She completed her undergraduate studies and medical school at the University of Florida prior to relocating to Portland, Oregon for residency at Peacehealth Family Medicine of SW Washington. She is passionate about supporting families on their journey through pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and parenting and loves spending time exploring the great outdoors with her husband and their 8-year-old son and 4-year-old daughter.
