Sharon Horesh Bergquist, MD, is a practicing internal medicine physician, scientist, and lifestyle medicine pioneer with over 25 years of experience in patient-centered clinical care. She is the Pam R. Rollins Professor of Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine, the medical director of Emory’s Executive Health program, and the founder and director of Emory Lifestyle Medicine & Wellness. She has been the lead investigator or co-investigator in over a dozen clinical trials that have received $61 million in funding for evaluating lifestyle interventions and early biomarkers for well-being, chronic disease, and healthy aging, including ongoing studies looking for early markers of Alzheimer’s disease and cancer. She has received over 30 patient care awards and been voted one of Atlanta’s Top Doctors for multiple consecutive years. Dr. Sharon has been interviewed for over 200 news segments, including for Good Morning America, CNN, ABC News, The Wall Street Journal, NPR, and Women’s Health Magazine. Dr. Sharon completed her undergraduate degree in biochemistry and biophysics at Yale College, attended Harvard Medical School, and completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA.
