Kelly Freeman is the current Director of Academic Advancement at the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. Previous roles include being faculty at Indiana University and a Lieutenant in the United States Navy Nurse Corps. She attended the University of Nebraska as an undergraduate and received a Masters’ degree as a primary care geriatric nurse practitioner at Indiana University. She also holds two post-graduate certificates, public health and nursing education, both from Indiana University and is currently working toward a PhD. She has co-authored two book chapters on lifestyle as it relates to brain health and has co-written research papers on lifestyle medicine reimbursement and cost savings. Kelly lives in the Indianapolis area and has three grown children and two cats. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking healthy meals, and being outdoors.
