Dr. Prachi Garodia is board-certified in internal medicine, A diplomate in integrative medicine and lifestyle medicine and a nationally certified health and wellness coach. She has also trained extensively in functional medicine, Ayurveda, Yoga acupuncture, meditation, mindfulness techniques, positive psychology, Loving Kindness meditation, burnout prevention, Clinical Hypnosis, Biofeedback etc. She is a certified Mind-Body medicine Group facilitator through the CMBM, an i-Rest level 2 trainer, and Yoga therapy faculty for M.Sc at VAYU. She is an empathic healer, Yoga instructor, Ayurvedic chef, master gardener, environmental and whole foods plant-based advocate. Dr. Garodia is passionate about educating and empowering patients and integrating eastern wisdom with western scientific evidence. Her journey in lifestyle medicine started 20+ years back with her training in the ancient science of Ayurveda and has been continuing on teaching, educating, and learning path with her colleagues and patients since then. Dr. Garodia serves as the National Education Champion for Whole Health at the OPCC&CT for the VHA, as Clincal Director and Section chief for Whole heath at Miami VA, as the co-chair of the Happiness Science Member Interest Group of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine for 2021-2024, a member for Happiness Science and Positive Health Committee for ACLM, and on the Advisory Council for the Global Positive Health Institute. She also has served on the board of directors for several nonprofits, and as the VA ECHO VISN 20 Education Medical Director over the years. Dr. Garodia has published several journal articles related to inflammation, chronic diseases, and cancer; co-authored a chapter for an Ayurvedic reference book, and several other book chapters. In her spare time, Dr. Garodia loves growing her own organic fruits, vegetables, and herbs, cooking healthy plant-based meals for friends and family, practicing yoga and meditation daily, socializing, dancing, painting, enjoying music and going out for nature walks and hikes with her husband in the beautiful PNW.
