Nhi Ma Do, DMSc-Candidate, MPAS, PA-C, IFMCP, DipALCM, is a triple-board certified Physician Associate (PA) with the NCCPA, trained in Functional Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine. She has been a Primary Care PA since 2017, sharing evidence-based health information through public lectures and resources while fostering positive lifestyle changes. In early 2022, Nhi joined the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) and became involved with various Member Interest Groups (MIGs).
Currently, Nhi practices in Geriatrics and serves as her workplace's Subject Matter Expert in lifestyle medicine. She has developed a comprehensive Toolkit for lifestyle medicine and functional medicine resources. At Conviva Care Center in Ormond Beach, FL, she conducts regular health lectures for patients, teammates, and the Volusia County community. She also offers virtual class recordings to staff and patients, promoting the “Walk the Talk” movement throughout the company. Nhi hosted “Lifestyle Medicine in Action Camaraderie” monthly virtual meetings and has been awarded Conviva’s Shining Star Award and Humana’s Century Award. Since 2023, she also volunteers as a Guest Speaker to spread healthful living insights through the lens of lifestyle medicine, including topics like fall prevention lifestyle strategies, on JOY106.3FM Radio Show.
Her passion for Geriatrics began with growing up in Vietnam close-by her beloved late-grandparents and continued to grow in 2014 while working at University of Florida (UF) Health Shands Rehab Hospital. After her training at the UF PA Program 2015-2017, she interned at TrueNorth Health Center in Santa Rosa, CA, where she witnessed the profound impact of water-fasting, nutrition and lifestyle habits on health through all stages of life. Her Undergraduate academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science & Human Nutrition and a Minor in Health Disparities in Society. To help advance the next generation of healthcare practitioners, Nhi still gives back to several universities by serving as a Guest Lecturer for pre-PA and PA students, with topics ranging from self-care to burnout prevention and reversal through implementing lifestyle medicine pillars.
Nhi remains active with ACLM MIGs, especially the PA LM MIG, the Cancer LM MIG, and the Primary Care LM MIG. She co-led the development of ACLM’s first Lifestyle Cancer Toolkit with a Taskforce, published in February 2024. To share healthful living resources globally, Nhi launched her Resource Blog (www.nhimado.org) in early 2023. She is passionate about promoting healthfulness and influencing lives through her clinical practice and daily encounters. Currently, she is pursuing a Doctor of Medical Science degree at A.T. Still University Online Program. Nhi continuously seeks self-improvement and shares her knowledge to benefit others. Outside of her professional and personal pursuits, she enjoys spending quality time with family, practicing power yoga, blogging about healthful resources, meal-prepping, traveling, and simply being in nature.
