Marc Braman, MD, MPH, FACLM, FACPM is a founding member, former Secretary, second President and first Executive Director of ACLM. He spent 6 years building the culture and infrastructure for long term success of a high quality, evidence-based professional association defining the new space and specialty of lifestyle medicine: member services, conferences, professional organization relationships, fellow and specialty standards, built out the Advisory Board of the best experts on the planet, etc. Dr. Braman, has since spent substantial time and energy figuring out the business and operations side of lifestyle medicine practice to be able to help others operationalize lifestyle medicine in the real world, been involved in the patient-centric healthcare innovation space as represented by Stanford Medicine X, and has developed new foundations and frameworks to enable the practice of healthcare as we would want it to be as both patients and providers. He remains focused on the mission of creating healthcare as it could and should be for the benefit of those we serve. The focus of the rest of his career is on writing, teaching, and implementing real healthcare in the real world. Dr. Braman has practiced LM in private, group, and hospital based settings.
