Ali is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who has over 25 years of healthcare leadership experience. Ali began her career as a registered nurse in 1992, working at hospital and community settings. She has spent over 15 years as an executive in pharmaceutical drug research and helped to develop new medicines for acute and chronic health conditions. In 2013, she returned to primary care and is now focused on helping patients achieve optimal health by identifying the underlying triggers of chronic illness by using both prescription and non-prescription approaches to treatment. She has interest in chronic illness prevention and treatment, hormone replacement therapy, and lifestyle improvement. In addition to her role at Integrative Healthcare, Ali serves as Clinical Professor and Coordinator of the FSU College of Nursing Lifestyle Medicine Program where she is dedicated to the education, inspiration, and empowerment of the next generation of Healthcare Providers in the areas of health promotion and lifestyle interventions. Ali is a lifelong learner, and her true passion is functional and lifestyle medicine. In her current practice, she is dedicated to helping her patients identify the underlying triggers of their chronic illness, and with a focus on lifestyle interventions, assists them in replacing their unhealthy behaviors with positive ones — such as eating healthfully, being physically active, managing stress, avoiding risky substance abuse, getting adequate sleep, and having a strong support system. Ali is a member of several national, and regional nursing organizations, including Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and the Tallahassee Council of Advanced Practice Nurses. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English/ Communication from the University of South Florida, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Florida, an MBA from the University of South Florida College of Business, and a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Florida State University. She is also a diplomat of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and is an active student at the School of Applied Functional Medicine, where she is working on her advanced certification in Functional Medicine.
